Another Half Of Me - Chapter 2

Waking up with a severe hangover was the worst thing that can happen to you, Siddha thought to himself trying to raise his head from the pillow. He did not remember when he came home yesterday and who brought him home. It must have been Sid, his younger brother and Rudy, his close aid and bodyguard.

Smiling with closed eyes, he thought about Sid. Engaged now and ready to start a new journey! Feeling a sad lump in his throat, Siddha got up and somehow managed to reach the bathroom.

Standing underneath the shower, he looked at the droplets of water sliding down his body. They felt like the droplets of rain, which she licked off with her tongue one by one and placed on his lips. Turning away towards the wall, he rested his head against it. Tears trickled down his eyes as his face got drenched with water.

*************

ā€œWhere is he?ā€ Karan Verma asked with an angry and desperate tone looking at Amit Goel. Shrugging his shoulders, Amit looked away. If only he knew Siddhaā€™s whereabouts. ā€œI have tried calling him, but his mobile is switched off.ā€

ā€œThat has been the case since yesterday nightā€, Karan replied trying to form the plan of action if Siddha did not reach office in another hour. He picked up the phone and dialled Rudyā€™s number. Disconnecting, he rushed towards the cabin door hearing the zing of the lift door.

Sid and Rudy walked in with rushed breaths trying their best not to run inside the cabin in hurry.

Karan was about to ask about Siddha when he walked in. Sitting down on his chair, he looked at everybody one by one. He knew they were angry, but he seriously did not care. ā€œAsk someone to prepare the conference room for the meeting,ā€ he said looking straight at Rudy.

ā€œNeed all the legal documents for A4 Towers. Ask Guptaji to fax them right away,ā€ he ordered Sid.

ā€œKaran, I need you to chalk out a planned turnkey structure for Four Ends Hotel. Once itā€™s done, get it approved from legal and send me the chalked copy.ā€

ā€œAmit, sit with the architectural team and figure out a way to get more out of the box designs. I donā€™t like the ones they gave for West Front Business Square. The design is old and out dated. Need more spunk in it.ā€

Walking out, Siddha looked at their exasperated faces. ā€œGet going, boys, I donā€™t have all day.ā€
