Another Half Of Me - Chapter 10
Leaving
Roshni in the morning was becoming harder for Siddha as the days were passing
by. His brain kept on reminding that his days were numbered in Bangalore. He
would have to leave soon. Then what?
*************
Roshni
looked at his clothes strewn here and there in the room. Smiling to herself,
she started picking them one by one.
Pressing his
overnight shirt against her face, she inhaled hard. Siddha’s smell filled her
and suddenly she was in his arms, feeling his force inside her beckoning to
explore new heights of pleasure. Biting her lip, she kept the clothes on the settee
and went outside.
Dark clouds
in the sky echoed the desolate feeling in her heart. Soon, they will need to go
on their separate paths. Then what?
**************
He looked
at the screen and saw her vision smiling at him. His hands wanted to touch her
heated skin again: wanted to feel her body beneath him writhing with pleasure.
As the
meeting progressed, it became more and more impossible for Siddha to think anything
else; so much so, that he picked up his mobile and went out in the middle of
the meeting.
Standing in
front of the washroom mirror, he looked at himself. His face looked all
flushed. His heart was pounding against his chest in double triple beats. What was
happening to him?
Not knowing
what to do, he started flashing water on his face. Finally when he was done, he
looked up at the mirror.
Her vision
smiled at him again.
Slowly she
walked up to him and whispered in his ears, “You are in love, Siddha Singh Rajput.”
Siddha
opened his eyes with a jerk.
Love? It can’t be. No, it cannot be love. No, no,
no, never. It can’t be.
Or, is it?
He wanted
answers.
Summoning Rudy,
he left office, straightaway heading for the hotel.
**************
Roshni sat
on the couch in the drawing room thinking about Siddha. Everything around her
screamed of his position and reputation in the society. She knew he was
engaged. Sandhya Manchanda was a rich businessman’s daughter. It was natural
for them to get married.
But what
about her? Will she ever be able to give Siddha away? Closing her eyes, she saw
them together just as Siddha had been with her.
Her heart
exploded with anger and jealousy so potent that it scared her. Clenching her
hands, she tried to control her thoughts. Her heart told her, Siddha was hers.
Her mind denied it.
How can he
be yours? Once this week is over, he will go on his way.
You are ordinary
Roshni.
He is
Siddha Singh Rajput .
You live in
a tiny rented apartment.
He lives in
a mansion.
You travel
in buses.
He has a
huge lineage of cars.
Your clothes
come from thrift stores.
He only
wears designer.
If Siddha
was the tree then she was the pebble lying at the far end of the street.
Sighing,
Roshni realised their worlds were wide apart. Of all the people in the world,
she had to fall in love with Siddha. What an irony!
