Scarred Love - Chapter 105

Ishani closed her eyes as the words pierced through her heart.

“You can’t, right?”

She shook her head as tears slipped out of her closed eyes.

“Open your eyes,” Rudra commanded but she did not relent.

“I said OPEN YOUR EYES.”

She jerked them open and looked up at him. The blank look on his face conveyed nothing, but the fire burning in his eyes spoke volumes. However, amidst all of that, she saw a child of 12 who had seen nothing but devastation. She took a step towards him but he backed away.

“I wish I could drain every drop of blood from your body. I wish I could give you my nightmares.”

He suddenly closed the distance between them and grabbed her chin painfully.

“And I wish I could make you live the past 17 years of my life.”

“Veera!”

“Don’t you dare take that name; he is dead. You killed him. You killed me. And now you will see death as I saw it once.”

Letting her go, he picked up the phone and ordered, “Rayna, do it.”

“PLEASE NO!” Ishani screamed as she grabbed his hand.

But by the time she faced the screen again, Rayna was already injecting the liquid into her brother’s arm.

“AJIT!”

Rayna straightened and showed them the emptied syringe and then the screen went blank.

Ishani collapsed on the floor sobbing, trying to believe that her brother was dead and the man who she believed loved her, had killed him. Suddenly grief gave way to anger and she brushed the tears off.

Standing up in attention, she launched herself on him and grabbed his collar and struck her fist hard on his face.

He stumbled back a little but she didn’t let go. She raised her hand again but he was faster than her this time. Grabbing her hand, he twisted it behind her back and pushed her towards the wall.

She struggled to loosen his grip but couldn’t. But not willing to let go, she bunched her leg a bit and then with everything in her body rammed her knee into his groin.

Rudra bit his lip hard killing the scream of agony inside just as pain shot through his veins. Letting her go, he stumbled back and collided with the chair. Steadying himself, he closed his eyes so as to blank out the ache in his muscles. However, it was not something that would subside soon.

As the throbbing increased so did the rage in his blood. He straightened and opened his eyes just in time to see her lunging towards him. And this time he did not control himself.

Just as her hand connected once again on his cheek, he veered back and smacked her hard.

Ishani fell on the floor from the impact of his slap. But she was still not done. Shaking her head, she cleared the daze in her head and then looked up with animosity.

“You killed my brother. I’ll kill you.”

“So be it,” she heard him say.

Then she saw him pick up his gun from the table and sit down on his knees in front of her.

He loaded the gun and then placed it on her forehead.

There was no fear in her eyes when she stared back at him for she wasn’t scared anymore. She was willing to die rather than satisfy this man’s desire to see her shake with fright.

But suddenly he placed the gun in her hand and lifted it towards his forehead. When the cold barrel connected with his head, he almost smiled seeing the look of defiance turn into confusion and then triumph in her eyes.

“Pull the trigger Ms Raijdas. Kill me, come on.”

She tried her best to press her fingers hard on the trigger but just couldn’t.

“Come on, pull the trigger,” she heard him egging her and his every word burst like energy shots in her blood.

She tried again but just couldn’t. Once more she tried and but failed. Letting go of the gun she started to move away but his fingers circled around her wrist in a vice grip.

“You don’t even have the guts to kill the man who killed your brother.”

She closed her eyes trying to block everything as his words punctured every shred of defiance.

“Open your eyes. See death as I have seen it.”

Saying this, he placed the cold barrel of the gun on her forehead.

“Why are you doing this? What have I done?”

“You destroyed me. You killed me.”

Ishani looked up and saw a flash of demonic intent in his eyes.

“You know what I won’t kill you,” said Rudra as he pulled the gun away and stood up.

The demons had already started to attack his brain and all he could see right now was slow approaching shadows. He needed to get out of this place before he lost it completely.

He didn’t want to kill her. Death would be too easy for someone like her.

Controlling himself, he picked up his phone and dialled Ram’s number and relayed the instructions the moment he picked up.

The doors opened in a matter of seconds after that and Ram and Manna both walked in.

Rudra looked at Ishani’s huddled figure and smiled inwardly.

He turned and then started to walk away from her.

“Everything was a lie, right? You never loved me?!”

Her question stopped him and he turned around. Closing the space between them, he pulled her up from the floor and then placed his mouth near her ear.

“Yes, baby everything was a lie. But you were a good fuck. Unfortunately, I got bored. That’s why I went to Nina’s room the night we had a fight. I needed a change of bodies so I fucked her and came back to you.”

Her whole body shivered as his words hit her. As he moved away, she tried her best to look at him but couldn’t. The filth bubbling inside her was so overwhelming that every part of hers was crying out in agony.

“And to answer your question; I am incapable of love. You burned that part to ashes years ago.”

Saying this, Rudra turned away from her and then started to walk away.

“Live and feel the pain just like I do every day.”

She saw him step out of the door and then stop.

“And your brother is alive. I don’t kill people Ms Raijdas.”

The door closed behind him and Ishani collapsed on the floor.
