Scarred Love - Chapter 60

Rudra entered the suite and straightaway went to the washroom. He wanted water right now; cold, cold water on his body, all over his body. Even an hour of staying away from her was not enough. He was burning up as the fire raged on in his body.

He ripped opened his shirt and then taking off his belt, he flicked open the button of his trousers and kicked it off. Pushing the lever of the shower, he waited for the pelting to begin.

Just as the first cold drops fell on his heated skin, he placed his palm on the wall and waited to give in to the feeling of the soothing calmness but nothing happened. The cold water just heightened the heat in his body. Irritated, he closed his eyes and instantly images of her with him in the shower flooded his brain.

The image was so real that he started to grow hard as he saw her hand caressing his wet body.

Dammit!

He pushed himself off from the wall and closed the shower.

Just as the sound of water stopped, Ishani sat up straight and then panicked the moment the click of the door lock sliding off resounded. She didnā€™t want him to know that she was in the same room. Quickly, she stood up and tiptoed to the adjoining balcony.

Why was it so hard to face him?

They loved each other. So, wasnā€™t this physical thing natural for them?

Maybe.

But not this unbearable heat.

Not these smouldering flames that engulfed them whenever they touched each other.

This canā€™t be natural.

She glanced inside the room and her mouth literally dropped to the ground.

Rudra was standing in the middle of the room in just a towel. She tried to make her brain work to turn away but somehow her body was stood frozen on the spot.

She watched with gaping eyes as the towel stretched open in the front the moment he spread his legs to reach his phone lying on the bed.

Move, dammit! Her brain shouted but her body just didnā€™t listen.

And, her eyes were only fixed on his torso, which was marked with numerous scars; some of them quite scary. But she did not at all feel scared; instead these scars excited her all the more. She wanted to touch them and lick them; she wanted to kiss them one by one and make his pain go away.

Suddenly he turned and she gasped inaudibly. There was a big scar on his upper back that extended all the way to his lower half. She wanted to press her face to it and take all its tormenting heat inside her.

Tears slowly slipped down her cheeks as she tried to imagine the kind of torture he must have suffered.

Along with agony came anger, which flooded inside her veins; whoever did this to him should be cut into pieces.

Now, she understood what he had meant when he had said that he had seen scarier things in his life.

Oh God! Rudra.

As her heart twisted with pain, she started to turn her eyes away from his body for she wasnā€™t able to look anymore.

With a flick of his hand, Rudra jerked the towel off his body and turned towards the balcony.

Ishaniā€™s mouth dropped open just her brain registered the image in front.

He was stark naked.

As shock rippled through her, a boiling heat started to overpower combusting her brain totally. She wanted to look away but just couldnā€™t.

Move, before he sees you.

She watched with awe as drops of water glided down his chest and died somewhere below.

Ishani, donā€™t you dare look lower, her mind warned.

But somehow the temptation of seeing what lay hidden below was luring her towards the forbidden.

Feeling parched all of a sudden, she swallowed audibly and instantly saw him starting to look up from his phone towards the balcony.

Move, dammit, move.

As her feet found life, she stepped back and disappeared from his line of sight.

Rudra looked at the balcony and found it empty. But clearly, he had heard something. Ignoring it, he turned and started to get dressed.

Ishani silently looked inside the room and saw him buttoning his shirt. Sighing, she moved further away from the room and walked towards the other end of the balcony.

Oh, thank God! He hadnā€™t seen her. She couldnā€™t imagine what would have happened if he had.

Closing her eyes, she clutched the balcony railing hard to calm her raging nerves but all it did was to awakened the sweltering heat again as her mind just couldnā€™t let go of the feeling of seeing him naked.

Oh man!

She needed to cool herself off and there was no way she could do that till he was in that room.

Dammit! Why did the way to her room have to be through his?

And, why had she come to his room?

Shaking her head, she opened her eyes and looked beyond.

Divert your mind.

The towers of Khajuraho temple were proudly standing amidst the backdrop of green and pure blue sky. Enthralled she just couldnā€™t take her eyes off but suddenly her mind reminded her, what she had seen earlier.

Well, you are going to see the same thing there too.

Only that would be carved in stone.

She blushed red thinking of the fact that he would be with her during the visit.

Oh, crap! How will she face him?

Okay, it was art, but somehow those structures would remind her about them being together in the most primitive way.

Will he also feel the same way?

Oh, heck! What if he is tempted to touch her?

What if he tried to do something intimate?

What if both of them lose control and end up doing something they will regret later?

Shut up!

Enough of what ifs.

She turned away from the railing and froze.

A pair of black eyes washed their gaze all over her and settled on her lips.

She licked her dry lips and regretted it instantly as she saw his gaze darkening.

She saw Rudra closing the distance between them but as usual, she was frozen on the spot.

He stopped just an arm-length away from her and she could do nothing but be mesmerised by him again.

ā€œLike what you see?ā€
